excipients
Our wide variety of functional excipients are used in oral solid dosages and injectables (vaccines, therapeutic treatments). We offer adjuvants, buffers, and plasticizers that enhance drug delivery.
adjuvants
Our aluminum-based vaccine adjuvants enhance, accelerate, and prolong the immune response in patients during vaccination. Adjuvants are a key functional ingredient in vaccines aiding efficacy and immune response. Our wide portfolio of cGMP aluminum adjuvants enhance drug delivery and are the benchmark adjuvant in vaccine formulations. Aluminum adjuvants are the most widely used adjuvant with a strong track record for safety (80+ years), and adjuvanticity with a variety of antigens.
carefully controlled for aluminum oxide content and protein binding capacity
lower viscosity than competing adjuvants, which makes it easier to process and handle
designed for use in buffer systems that are incompatible with Rehydragel LV
superior aluminum hydroxide for blood plasma separation
designed specifically for those vaccines where low binding is required
maximum protein binding and point of zero charge at pH 12
low oxide, thixotropic gel containing sub-micron particles that can boost protein adsorption compared to conventional adjuvants
highly gelatinous, nearly translucent, and non-reactive making it effective for topical applications
often diluted to form suspensions having relatively low oxide concentrations or used in vaccines that need high adjuvant levels
amorphous aluminum hydroxyphosphate having an acidic isoelectric point
property combined with its high surface area gives it a high adsorptive capacity for basic or positively charged antigens
Plasma protein separation is critical for developing protein-based therapeutics for various diseases. Our comprehensive selection of aluminum gels can more efficiently isolate the targeted proteins during the blood plasma separation process. This superior binding capability is driven by the quality and consistency of our aluminum-based solutions.
functional plasticizers
Our range of functional plasticizers are used in the coating of oral solid dosage forms. By improving the elasticity of the film, and modifying other physical properties, our plasticizers aid in the controlled release of active ingredients in both enteric and colonic coatings. Selection of the appropriate plasticizer and its concentration provides the desired flexibility and permeability in the finished film, which in turn controls the release rate of the coated product. Our range of citrate and sebacate ester plasticizers are effective in both aqueous and solvent-based coating systems.
optimize your formulation
Film permeability and drug release rate are highest with low molecular weight citrates used at high concentrations. Higher molecular weight citrates used at low concentrations provide lower permeability and slow drug release. Both hydrophilic and lipophilic esters are available, allowing the formulator to control the film and drug release characteristics of a variety of polymer coatings to suit the needs of the finished product.
Buffers are utilized as a pH-adjusting agent or as a reactant, catalyst, or processing aid in the production of a variety of medications. Our high-purity hydroxide pellets are an ideal solution where pH adjustment or caustic properties are required, yet impurities matter. Our hydroxide pellets are used in the creation of drugs such as pain relief medications, anticoagulants, and blood sugar regulators, among others. The pellet form we offer enables easier and safer handling.
